CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT Second Harvest SECOND HARVEST
Our first opportunity to serve the community in 2012 is during Second Harvest Service Days. If you are not familiar with Second Harvest it is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to fight hunger in Central Florida. Second Harvest relies on volunteers to make the difference! Come on out & get involved! It's a great way to meet other paralegals (network!) and serve our community.
Food Drive Drop Locations TBA
The upcoming community service events will be for us to be Food Sorters at the Food Rescue Center located at 3533 Mercy Drive, Orlando, FL 32808. Family and friends are welcome to come volunteer too! However, volunteers need to be at least 10 years of age. This is a great opportunity for those students who need volunteer credit. Please let me know any students who will be volunteering ahead of time so I may ensure they receive proper credit.
We will have two volunteer opportunities:
Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 1:00PM – 4:00PM (up to 20 volunteers needed)
Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM (up to 10 volunteers needed)
So come on out for a few hours on either day or both days and make CFPA proud! Contact CFPA's Volunteer Coordinator, Antoinette Braga at VOLUNTEERS to sign up!
We are looking forward to seeing you!

BEWARE of some organizations that hold themselves out as legitimate charities but many of these organizations who market themselves with the flag, people wearing para-military clothing, and advertising themselves as a 501 (c) (3) corporation. If you do not immediately recognize the organization's name as having been around for awhile, DON'T GIVE YOUR MONEY TO SCAMMERS! 100% OF ALL MONEY DONATED to CFPA goes directly to the charity. CFPA retains $0 and, in most cases, adds money from our operating budget to supplement donations received for each charity supported.
