The Association

A little about CFPA ...

One of the primary missions of the Central Florida Paralegal Association is  to offer a variety of opportunities for Continuing Legal (Assistant) Education (CLE or CLAE) credit through seminars and workshops.  Offered throughout the year on a regular basis, the CLE seminars are offered in the evening or over an extended lunch hour to better serve all our members.  Additionally, their location changes so that we can provide these services on a wider scale to benefit a greater number of area paralegals.  Please visit our SEMINARS page often for updated and detailed information about planned educational seminars.

Along with our seminar sponsors, CFPA hosts area attorneys and other professionals who are subject-matter experts to present seminars for paralegals.  Among these have been a research expert with West Law who was authorized to certify attendees in the use of West Law for legal research, the Program Director for the federal and county electronic case filing platforms, a private investigator,  a notary instructor, a certified mediator, as well as many others.  Additionally, some speakers are CP-qualified or ACP-qualified professionals who have actual experience in the legal specialty they are presenting.  Presenting/facilitating a seminar sponsored by CFPA is a great opportunity for paralegals to sharpen their public speaking and organizational skills.  CFPA does ensure that seminars offered are qualified through NALA for continuing education credit.  As such, each seminar offered by CFPA is also accepted by the Florida Bar Association for continuing legal education credit for Florida Registered Paralegals.

Please review the pages of this website and even our BYLAWS.  As you learn more about this organization, you should feel free to complete the form on the CONTACT US page as we welcome feedback from our members and nonmember legal assistant/paralegals.  It is our goal to provide support, outreach to the community, educational and professional growth opportunities to our members and the community at large.
